Travel News Asia 2 December 2005

inter-touch, a leading broadband Internet provider to the hospitality and travel industries, has appointed Charles Reed as its Chief Executive Officer.

A global operating company of NTT DoCoMo, inter-touch is well placed to continue growth of its core hospitality business and explore new market opportunities. In 2005, inter-touch added its 200th hotel partner to its books, exceeding its projected growth targets.

Charles will be based in Singapore, inter-touch global headquarters, and will be responsible for steering inter-touch towards achieving its global vision, which is to enhance the business travel experience by providing reliable broadband connectivity and applications to hotels and wireless hot spots.

"I look forward to working with our many hotel partners to provide them, and their guests, with the best broadband connection products and services. Through close collaboration, we plan to raise the bar in terms of connectivity for business travelers all over the world," said Charles.

Managing Director, Global Business Department of NTT DoCoMo, Toshinari Kunieda said the appointment of Charles is a milestone in NTT DoCoMo's international plans.

"inter-touch is the strategic link in implementing NTT DoCoMos globalization strategy. With Charles' leadership, we believe that inter-touch will affirm its position as a leading technology provider, delivering people the best broadband experience possible."
