Cendant TDS expands Senior Management Team in Asia

Cendant Travel Distribution Services (TDS), has made two important new appointments to its senior management team in Asia, Mr. Mark J. Zaraza as Market Development Director, and Mr. Iwan Spillebeen as Operations Director.

Mr. Zaraza will be based in Singapore and Mr. Spillebeen in Hong Kong. Both will report directly to Mr. Mark Rizzuto, Managing Director, Asia, Cendant TDS. Mr. Zaraza has specific responsibility for developing and managing new business opportunities for Cendant TDS across a portfolio of countries within the Asia region. He will also support business development opportunities through commercial partnership arrangements, including cross-Cendant opportunities, and/or joint ventures.

Mr. Spillebeen will be responsible for developing, communicating and implementing operational strategies to enhance the value proposition offered to Cendant’s customers in Asia. He will also ensure that the service provisions of National Distribution Company (NDC) partner agreements are met by the regional office.

“Mark and Iwan will both be great assets for Cendant TDS in further developing and expanding our strong brand portfolio,” said Mark Rizzuto. “They both have a proven track record in business development and operations management across the Asia Pacific market. With the addition of Mark and Iwan, we now have an even stronger regional market development team and we are in a robust position to further penetrate into new business opportunities across Asia.”

Mark J. Zaraza

Prior to joining Cendant TDS, Mr. Zaraza was in a senior management business development role with Standard Chartered Bank. He served as the Senior Business Development Manager, International Trade & Supply Chain – B2BeX S.E. Asia & India, and was responsible for driving market penetration of Standard Chartered’s electronic International Trade & Supply Chain solution. He has a total of 11 years in business, selling and sales management across a diverse client base. He is a high business achiever and has consistently demonstrated his strength in meeting revenue and contribution targets in both new business and developing business with existing clients. Mr. Zaraza has also gained extensive regional experience while living and working in Hong Kong and Singapore for more than five years.

Mr. Zaraza earned a Bachelor of Business degree in marketing and business computing from Curtin University of Technology, Western Australia.

Iwan Spillebeen

Most recently, Mr. Spillebeen served as Senior Vice President / COO for 6 years Galaxy Distribution System where he was responsible for the company’s global technology development, user and sales support, system maintenance, strategic planning, coordinating operations, training as well as assisting with the marketing activities of over 30 National Marketing Companies representing Galaxy in over 80 territories world-wide. Mr. Spillebeen has been working in the sales and service industry for over 15 years and prior to joining Galaxy in 1999, he worked at the Skala Division of Thorn NV, Belgium, as Regional Sales Supervisor.

Mr. Spillebeen has a Business Management and Accounting qualification from CMO Antwerp and has extensive computer hardware and software knowledge. He is fluent in Dutch, English and French.
