China Southern Airlines expands Customer Call Center Service

Travel News Asia 20 July 2005

China Southern Airlines has expanded its Customer Service Call Center reservation operations to Shenyang, Liaoning Province.

“Effective immediately, customers in the Shenyang, Liaoning Province will be able to experience the same high level of customer service and FFP support that almost all of China now enjoys,” said Mr. Li Kun, COO, China Southern Airlines.

China Southern Airlines’ Customer Service Call Center offers passengers nationwide access to the airline through one dedicated number - 950-333 - and is already available to millions of customers in major metropolitan markets including Guangzhou, Beijing and Shanghai, with bilingual (Chinese and English) operators standing by.

China Southern’s Customer Service Call Center was put into pilot operation in Guangzhou on September 2, 2002, and into formal use on April 9, 2003 when the national hot line number opened.

In June 2003, the 950-333 call service line was opened in Beijing and Shanghai and the following October in Haikou and Shenzhen.

In 2004, nine cities were added to the service, including seven domestic cities: Changsha, Dalian, Guiyang, Urumqi, Shantou, Wuhan and Zhuhai; one regional: Hong Kong (+852-292- 95033) and one International: Seoul (+822-1588-9503).

This year both Shenyang and Zhengzhou have so far been added.
