Cathay Pacific launches third daily Los Angeles flight with Free Ticket Promotion

Travel News Asia 20 June 2005

Cathay Pacific is marking the launch of its third daily non-stop service between Hong Kong and Los Angeles with a special fare that offers three additional flights to 86 cities within the continental United State – for free.

Passengers will be able to buy a return Economy Class ticket between Hong Kong and Los Angeles for HK$8,600, and have the option of making up to three stopovers in other US cities for no additional charge.

Bookings can be made from until 30 June 2005 and travel should be completed between 1 July to 31 August 2005. Cathay Pacific will phase in the third flight from early July and operate the full three-times-daily service from 1 August.

Cathay Pacific General Manager Sales Hong Kong and China Clement Lam said, “The early schedule of our new third flight creates far more onward connection opportunities for travellers bound for US cities beyond Los Angeles. Our ‘three-for-free’ offer really exploits that potential and is a great way for leisure and business travellers alike to see more of the United States for a single price. The third flight strengthens connections across our network and to the Chinese Mainland as well.”
