Hotel de la Paix in Siem Reap launches Choice of Promotions

Travel News Asia 19 August 2005

Siem Reap’s newest five-star hotel, the stylish Hôtel de la Paix, is offering guests three distinct experiences combining private cultural tours, a light detox programme and intimate therapies, all from as little as US$300 per person.

The three-night experiences are customised to match guests’ modern lifestyles and have been designed exclusively for Hôtel de la Paix with unique privileges and complementing amenities.

The special offers include accommodation in a Deluxe Guestroom or a Deluxe Suite, a creative ‘culinary experience’, spa therapies, community-based activities and private tours for two persons to Angkor Temple Complex. All rooms and suites contain tailored items to match each experience, including personal minibar contents, iPod music selection, aromas & bathroom amenities.

The ‘Intimate’ experience is designed for romantic couples. It includes a private dinner for two with a specialised menu and a ‘Pamper your Partner’ massage lesson. Guests take a hands-on approach and become massage therapists for their partner in the sanctuary of the tranquil Spa Indochine. The offer also includes daily a la carte breakfast for two and one butlered ‘brunch-in-bed’. Mini-bars are stocked with selected aphrodisiacs and bathrooms contain fragrant bath oils.

Visitors wanting to escape the stress of urban life can choose the ‘Revitalise’ experience. A spin on detox programmes, this experience provides a salubrious ‘Stimulator’ massage to rejuvenate guests by releasing tension and boosting blood circulation. Complementing this is a healthy alternative Spa Indochine lunch or dinner menu, featuring organic cuisine and tea-pairing. Room mini-bars contain healthy options, but if guests prefer, other snacks can be provided.

The unique ‘Connect’ experience allows guests to witness the true essence of Cambodia. This includes a visit to the vibrant Psar Char market with Hôtel de la Paix’s Executive Chef. Visitors can select their own ingredients for a unique Khmer degustation menu, to be enjoyed in the hotel’s stylish Meric Khmer restaurant. The ‘Connect’ experience includes an afternoon spent at a local orphanage, designed to support sustainable tourism, or other community-based activities selected by the guests. Visitors can also opt for a temple picnic lunch.

Each experience includes a daily a la carte breakfast for two, a vehicle and driver for a one-day tour to the ancient Angkor Temple Complex and complimentary use of the latest iPods containing narratives of the temples. Guests will receive a Cocktail of Peace at check-in, a selection of local fruit, private airport transfers via Lexus SUV and an early check-in/late check-out.

Hôtel de la Paix opened on 25 July 2005 and is located in the heart of Siem Reap, Cambodia and only seven kilometres from the ancient UNESCO-listed Angkor Temple Complex. It features Meric, the signature Khmer restaurant, Spa Indochine, a swimming pool and The Arts Lounge.

Prices per three-night experience, based on two people sharing, start from US $600 for the Deluxe Guestroom and US $775 for the Deluxe Suite. All prices are inclusive of tax and the offer is available until 31 October, 2005.
