Langham Hotels International strengthens Global Sales Team

Langham Hotels International (LHI) has appointed two executives to its global sales team in an aim to support the group's business expansion.

Mr. Thomas Ng has been promoted to Director of Global Sales - Asia based in LHI's corporate office in Hong Kong.

Prior to this appointment, Mr. Ng was part of the pre-opening team for Langham Place Hotel as Director of Sales - Travel Trade in January 2004. With over 14 years of experience in the hotel industry, Mr. Ng has held sales positions with Regal Hong Kong Hotel, Holiday Inn Golden Mile Hong Kong and New World Harbour View Hotel.

In his new role, Mr. Ng will manage the global sales efforts in Asia and maximize business from the Travel Management Company (TMC) and wholesale market segments into Langham Hotels worldwide. He will also work closely with LHI's overseas sales offices to secure and leverage preferred global partnerships.

Ms. Alison Tilzey, has been appointed as Sales Manager (MICE) - Australia. Ms. Tilzey is responsible for the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions market (MICE) based in the group's global sales office in Sydney.

A British national, Ms. Tilzey moved to Sydney in 1999 and has since obtained her Australian citizenship. For the last 6 years, she has held sales positions specializing in the MICE market with global hotel chains, namely Intercontinental and Shangri-la Hotels and Resorts, as well as Destination Marketing Services, a specialist tourism sales and marketing company. She was responsible for generating business from the corporate market and event organizers in Australia and New Zealand for the company portfolios.

Ms. Tilzey will concentrate her efforts to capture business from the MICE market into Langham hotels worldwide.
