Connexion by Boeing appoints Lianne Stein as Vice President, Commercial Aviation Business

Connexion by Boeing has appointed Lianne Stein as vice president, Commercial Aviation Business. In this position, Stein will be responsible for Connexion's Commercial Aviation channel, which provides high-speed Internet service to commercial airlines worldwide. Stein succeeds Stan Deal, who has joined Boeing Commercial Airplanes as vice president, sales and marketing operations.

Most recently, Stein was the vice president of Boeing Commercial Airplanes for Washington D.C. Operations. In this role, Stein was responsible for all Boeing commercial aircraft activities in Washington, D.C., relating to commercial aircraft sales campaigns, U.S. government advocacy, public policy and the U.S. Export-Import Bank.

Prior to joining Boeing in 2001, Stein served as vice president and senior European marketing representative for one of the largest commercial aircraft leasing companies, International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC). She managed a fleet of aircraft valued at more than $7 billion and negotiated numerous commercial aircraft and engine lease agreements with airlines worldwide. Additionally, she negotiated several billion dollars worth of commercial airframe and engine manufacturer purchase agreements with Boeing, Airbus, General Electric, Pratt & Whitney, International Aero Engines and Rolls-Royce.

Steins 10-year career at ILFC included positions as manager of marketing development and director of marketing. Prior to ILFC, she was manager of flight training course development at Flying Tigers air freight airline.

Stein is a graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles and a licensed private pilot.
