Ian Gibb and Wong Hong join MasterCard

MasterCard International has appointed Ian Gibb as vice president, regional business development, Asia/Pacific, Middle East & Africa and Wong Hong as vice president, Acceptance, South East Asia. In their roles, Gibb and Wong will translate new opportunities into creative and innovative business solutions for MasterCard within the travel industry in Asia Pacific and South East Asia, respectively.

Their roles will also include initiating new business models for credit card programs and leveraging new business in the travel and retail sectors.

Prior to joining MasterCard, Gibb was the Multinational Sales Director- Asia/Pacific for Carlson Wagonlit Travel. He joined the company in 2001 from Jardine Matheson Lancaster, where he was General Manager from 1992 to 2001.

Before joining MasterCard, Wong was Area Vice President Singapore, Singapore Airlines. Wong spent 12 years at Singapore Airlines and has experience in management, sales, marketing, planning and operations across Asia.
