Gourmet Treats at the Hilton Singapore this Christmas / New Year

The festive season is once again upon us, and the Hilton Singapore is inviting travellers and local residents to enjoy the following range of special festive promotions.

The Hilton Singapore’s Christmas gourmet promotions at Checkers Brasserie include;

Christmas Eve Dinner (24th December 2005) Available from S$98+++

Amidst giant ice sculptures, Chef Felicien Cueff will create a special buffet menu featuring traditional favourites, such as roast turkey, honey glazed baked bone ham, and prime ribs. A wide selection of seafood such as roasted bay scallops wrapped with Tasmanian salmon, spider crabs, river crawfish tiramisu with tobiko will also be a highlight.

Christmas day brunch (25th December 2005) Available from S$98+++

Start off your Christmas Day with family and loved ones with a special brunch that includes five varieties of fresh oysters from France, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, prime rib, roast beef, sashimi, lobster croustillant, roasted turkey, teppanyaki, blue crab bisque, tiger prawns. Special items such as river crawfish tiramisu with tobiko and fresh fruit timbale with Chardonnay wine will also be served as part of this hearty Christmas brunch.

Children will be able to enjoy a picture opportunity with Santa set in Santa’s Secret Village. There will also be a balloon artist and a children’s corner that features a play station, mini soccer, puzzles and cartoon movie screenings.

Christmas Day Dinner (25th December 2005) Available from S$78+++

Guests will be able to enjoy a few quiet moments with a glass of Chardonnay and a turkey roast and lobster croustillant or the gourmet platter that the brasserie has to offer on the night amidst tunes of the yuletide season.

Christmas Public Holiday High Tea (26th December 2005) Available from S$34+++

Celebrate Christmas with an afternoon feast between 12pm and 5pm with Hilton signature delights, such as the hotel’s famous cheesecakes and the mandarin orange charlotte. Indulge in an international buffet featuring nasi lemak, mee siam, baked golden apple brunoise with sable and meringue, steamed chicken and coriander prawn kofta, a variety of sandwiches such as an open smoked salmon sandwich with avruga sturgeon, lobster dumplings and Japanese pizzas to name a few and a free flow of freshly squeezed juices and coffee/tea.

New Year's Eve Buffet (31st December 2005) Available from S$108+++

A special buffet menu has been created with an ICE theme, featuring roasted rib eye, pan fried duck capon leg with a special focus on high value seafood varieties including cream of lobster perfumed with tarragon, hairy crabs, snow crab, pink prawns, rock lobster and a variety of fresh oysters such as white pearled, chuckle oysters and fresh west coast Australian giant clams. Resident band, Duo Connection will be playing popular sounds as diners enjoy the “chilly” surroundings of the room and sip on a glass of sparkling wine as the new year is ushered in.

New Year's Day Champagne brunch (1st January 2006) Available from $98+++

Enjoy the first day of 2006 with an international buffet spread and a wide spread of items such as fresh oysters, prime ribs, roast beef, sashimi, salted cod carpaccio, poached whole Norwegian salmon, shellfish bisque, baked Chilean Sea Bass, New Zealand Black mussels, lobster, snow crab, tiger prawns, and a spread of 18 kinds of French, English, Dutch and Australian cheeses. Accompany the meal that afternoon will be a free flow of Champagne and freshly squeezed juices. There will also be a special children's area, where kids can fill their time with games of Playstation, mini-soccer, puzzles, cartoon movies and a balloon artist for entertainment.

Public Holiday High Tea (2nd January 2006) Available from $34+++

Post New Year’s celebrations continue at Checkers Brasserie, featuring Hilton’s signature items such as almond eau-de-vie, flavoured mini orange flan in porcelain cup with red and blue berries jelly. Potato gnocchi with lobster sauces and saffron pistil and duck liver mousse on mini homemade brioche will be served as part of the high tea buffet, starting from 12pm till 5pm. Free flow of freshly squeezed juices and coffee/tea will accompany an international buffet menu at the brasserie.

Special promotions at Harbour Grill

Christmas Eve dinner (24th December 2005) Available from $140+++

Start off the 6-course dinner with a welcome drink of a Kir Royal before getting a taste of a Lobster salad with pomegranate dressing, mache and candied walnut. Enjoy the Foie Gras with a glass of Château Lafon 1997/1998 or compliment the Diver Scallops with a bottle of Caillou Blanc du Château Talbot 1999. The Lamb Crepinette goes well with the M. Chapoutier La Bernardine Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2001.

An array of almost 20 dishes will be served at this Christmas and New year spread.

As part of the Christmas spirit, Santa will be visiting Harbour Grill, and kids can be treated to a photo opportunity with Santa and be amused by a balloon artist. All guests will also receive a goodie bag of Christmas delights.

The welcome glass of rose wine on New Year’s day will adequately warm stomacsh for the 7-course dinner, including the Royal balik smoked salmon tartar and Aquitaine caviar in a warm mini baked brioche, accompanied by Hilton’s signature Diver European sea scallop with baby spinach and chanterelle mushroom foam reduction. Usher in the New Year with party favors provided for merry-makers or pop a bottle of champagne or wine recommended by the restaurant manager himself, Mr. Damian Shee, also a winner of the SHATEC Australian Wine Education Award (SAWEA).
