New Appointments at The Oriental, Bangkok

The Oriental, Bangkok recently made the following appointments to its Public Relations and Marketing Communications Departments. Both positions report directly to Ms Somsri Hansirisawadi, Director of Public Relations of The Oriental, Bangkok.

Ms. Anuttra Kiangsiri has been promoted to the position of Public Relations Manager, International. Anuttra joined The Oriental, Bangkok in 1999 as Assistant Public Relations Manager - International. Prior to joining The Oriental, Bangkok, Anuttra was an Account Executive for Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, and also a journalist for The Straits Times Newspaper. Anuttra graduated with a Master Degree in Professional Communications from Clark University, Worcester Massachusetts, U.S.A., and a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing and Literature Dual Minor in Psychology and Art History from Hofstra University, Long Island, New York, U.S.A.

Ms. Sirima Eamtako has joined The Oriental Bangkok as Marketing Communications Manager. Backed by almost 10 years of extensive experiences in travel journalism and spa marketing communications, Sirima has been appointed to look after all marketing communications matters for The Oriental, Bangkok, and The Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi Chiang Mai.

Sirima was the Bangkok Correspondent for Singapore-based TravelAsia Newspaper between 1998-2001, where she covered travel industry news and events in Thailand and Indochina countries. Her travel journalism profession started at Travel Trade Report Newspaper in 1997 where she was a reporter. Before joining The Oriental, Bangkok, Sirima worked for three years at the Banyan Tree Spa in Phuket, as the Group Marketing Communications Manager.

ADDED (Dec 2008) by special request: It should be noted that Ms. Sirima Eamtako left the Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok in August 2005 to resume her career in travel journalism.
