Virgin Atlantic offers Upper Class Passengers 'Good Night' service

Travel News Asia 1 August 2005

Virgin Atlantic has developed a new Good Night flight service for its Upper Class passengers on flights departing after 9pm.

Virgin Atlantic will be offering Upper Class passengers a wide variety of freshly prepared food in the Clubhouse so that they can enjoy their evening meal before their flight. Once onboard, passengers who want to maximise their sleep will be offered a Good Night snack and nightcap before their bed is made. Passengers who do not have time to eat in the Clubhouse can still choose from a range of full meal options onboard at any time during the flight, which have been redesigned to permit a much quicker service.

Sir Richard Branson, Chairman of Virgin Atlantic, commented, “We are always asking our passengers what we can do to improve their experience of travelling with us. Following the success of our award-winning Upper Class Suite, it was clear that passengers travelling on overnight flights were keen to get to sleep in their suites as soon as possible. The Good Night service allows them to have a delicious meal in the Clubhouse, and a quicker service of gourmet menu options onboard, so they can get the longest night’s sleep possible!”

The Good Night service will be onboard all flights departing Heathrow and Gatwick after 9pm as well as the following inbound flights: VS602 from Johannesburg, VS201 from Hong Kong, VS24 from Los Angeles, VS46 and VS10 from JFK (New York) and VS2 from Newark (New York).
