Le Méridien Kota Kinabalu to open 1 September 2005

Le Méridien Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia’s newest 5-Star hotel is set to open its doors for business on 1 September, 2005.

The 306-room hotel is only 15 minutes from the International Airport and enjoys a central city location in Kota Kinabalu. The majority of its guest rooms, the two Executive Floors and the Le Royal Club have sweeping views of the South China Sea or Mt Kinabalu.

Le Méridien Kota Kinabalu’s extra spacious guest rooms are designed for supreme comfort and offer either king, twin or queen beds together with spacious seating areas. Guests will be able to enjoy IT/broadband-friendly work station, mini bar with tea and coffee making facilities, luxury bathroom with separate bath and shower area, and a 73cm flat screen TV and DVD player in all rooms.

Although in the heart of the city’s business, entertainment, market and cultural areas, Le Méridien Kota Kinabalu offers a number of opportunities for guests to relax and entertain. These include a lounge bar and an all-day dining Circle restaurant, each of which will enjoy a cool, live Jazz and Blues ambience.

Enjoy sea views by the pool, spa and Pool Bar located on the 3rd level. There is also a fully-equipped gymnasium completing the property’s comprehensive leisure facilities. 

Le Méridien Kota Kinabalu’s meetings and conference facilities offer a 370 capacity ballroom with state-of-the-art audio visual support in all three of its possible configurations whilst five additional meeting rooms enjoy natural light and views, one of which also offers an outdoor balcony for break-out or cocktail activity.

The hotel is offering a special opening rate of from MYR 270, including buffet breakfasts for two, from 1 September to 31 October 2005.
