Australian Minister for Tourism to open AIME 2005

The Hon Fran Bailey MP, Australian Minister for Tourism is to officially open AIME 2005, 13th AsiaPacific Incentives and Meetings Expo on Tuesday 22 February. Following the opening and ribbon cutting ceremony, Minister Bailey will tour the exhibition.

A total of 825 exhibitors, 68 more than last year and 168 more than in 2003 will participate in AIME 2005. Hosted Buyer numbers have also risen to 445, 69 more than in 2004, with additional buyers attending from Australia, Asia, Europe, South Africa and New Zealand. Trade visitor pre-registrations are also higher than at the same time last year.

“AIME 2004 was a great success and this has undoubtedly played a part in attracting more exhibitors this year,” said Rosemarie Sama, AIME Exhibition Manager.

“AIME’s increased profile in the international marketing place and its reputation as a first class event that delivers results has helped us to attract more high quality buyers to the event.” she said.

AIME 2005, 13th AsiaPacific Incentives & Meetings Expo, will be held on 22 & 23 February at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre, Australia. Hours are 10am – 6pm on 22 February and 10am – 5pm on 23 February.
