Korean Air to launch Charter Service between Seoul and Shenzhen

Korean Air is to start a twice-weekly public charter service between Seoul and Shenzhen starting October 21, 2005.

Flights depart Shezhen Tuesday and Saturday at 00:30 arriving in Incheon at 04:50 the return leg departs Incheon Monday and Friday at 20:40 arriving in Shenzhen at 23:15. Korean Air will fly the route with a Boeing 737-800 which has a capacity of 149 seats.

As the flight will be arriving Incheon Airport early in the morning, Korean Air will provide special discounts on the airport coach service to passengers flying on the flights. Passengers can take the special airport coach to downtown for 5,000 won only which is a substantial discount from the original price of 13,000 won.

By providing the special charter flight service, Korean Air is testing the new market and will study the demand of this market and determine whether it will operate it as regular schedule service in the future.
