Northern Territory Tourism Commission appoints PR Agency to increase exposure in emerging SE Asian and China markets

Travel News Asia 1 July 2005

BrandStory, a leading Brand PR agency in Asia, has been appointed by the Northern Territory Tourist Commission (NTTC) to promote and introduce the Northern Territory as an extraordinary travel destination within core Asian markets including Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and the emerging China market.

BrandStory has its head office in Singapore, a branch office in Shanghai, and specialises in niche product marketing.

NTTC Managing Director Maree Tetlow said, "Our aim will be to increase our market reach and to inform media and consumers about Northern Territory's destinations and product.

"Asian markets such as China and Hong Kong have huge potential for future growth and our challenge is to build consumer awareness of the unique experiences that we know will excite and interest our target markets in the region.

"With the recently completed joint Tourism Australia and State Tourism Offices consumer research, we now have the tools to focus our marketing on delivering messages that are tailored to those markets.

"The Northern Territory is renowned for its nature and cultural experiences and it is very interesting to note that these have also been identified as prime motivators for key segments in these emerging Asian markets.

"BrandStory will also work with Tourism Australia on our brand messages and assist us to deliver the right media stories to our target audiences through the Asian region," Ms Tetlow added.
