Travel News Asia 16 June 2005

Continental Airlines today launched flights between New York and Beijing.

Continental Airlines provides nonstop daily flight services between Beijing and New York/Newark. Flight CO88 departs Beijing at 3:05 pm every day and arrives at New York at 4:35 pm the same day. Flight CO89 departs Newark Liberty Airport in New York at 11:10 am and arrives at Beijing at 12:55 pm the next day. The new flight is nearly five hours faster than other flights connecting the two cities that require a stop over.

To serve this nonstop daily flight, Continental uses a Boeing 777, which has 283 seats, including 48 BusinessFirst seats. Continental's BusinessFirst provides travelers with a spacious 6 feet, 6 inch long seat, with a deep recline as well as an extensive selection of fine food, beverages, movies and music throughout the flight. Chinese-speaking ground personnel are on hand at Newark Liberty and Chinese-speaking flight attendants are also on every flight.
