Grosvenor House in Dubai opens Retreat health and spa

Travel News Asia 15 November 2005

Natural décor and ingredients are key to the Retreat health and spa, the personal grooming and spa floor recently opened at the Grosvenor House at Dubai Marina.

According to hotel general manager, Pam Wilby, the new facility has been designed to cater to current requirements for organic health products as well as fast track treatments for the time-pressed executive of today.

“Both hotel and apartment guests and Dubai residents will appreciate the grouping of hair, nail, spa and health facilities on one floor, and we expect the 55-minute spa special to become a popular choice for those whose busy schedules leave little time to spare for relaxing leisure,” she said.

“But, for those on a less pressured agenda, the introduction of Middle Eastern Rasul treatments will be welcome, particularly given the health-giving properties of muds and steam in cleansing the system.”

As well as seven treatment rooms, all named after flowers and decorated with rock and blossom features to provide a focal point for those undergoing treatments, Retreat health & Spa includes N.Bar for nailcare, Dubai’s second 1847, a dedicated men’s treatment centre, plus the new concept hair bar, specialising in all types of cuts, curls and tints.

In addition, a juice bar serves healthy snacks, smoothies and other drinks.

Retreat is open to guests and walk-in visitors from 0615 hrs to 2145 hrs hours.

The 45-storey, 217-room and suites and 205 apartments, Grosvenor House, West Marina Beach by Le Meridien, opened this summer and is the first hotel and apartment complex on the Dubai Marina.
