Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali in Carnival mood for Christmas and New Year

The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali is inviting guests to be captivated by a cavalcade of celebrations at its Christmas and New Year Carnival 2005.

Commencing with two choices for Christmas Eve Dinner at either the popular Ikan Restaurant or poolside at By The Water, Christmas Day will then be celebrated with a Beach Barbecue. What follows promises to be the highlight of the year, New Year’s Eve Dinner, which will take place in the resort's ballroom, the Nusa Indah Hall, transformed into a Carnival paradise for the evening. The first day of 2006 is welcomed with a special Salsa Brunch at Ikan Restaurant, and the carnival heats up on the beach to celebrate Russian Christmas.

“We anticipate the usual good crowd from Russia, Australia, Japan and of course the domestic market this coming year end” commented the resort’s General Manager, Jan Bundgaard on the season’s celebrations.

Portraits Restaurant & Lounge will be transformed into “The Club”, commencing from 25 December 2005 through to 14 January 2006. Guests may opt from the Kobe Beef and Foie Grass promotion or one of the western a la carte delights served in an atmosphere of modern style and tunes. The evening continues into the late hours with the exclusive appearance of a visiting international DJ, whilst guests will be able to enjoy a wide range of cocktails and tapas.

Christmas spirits will be shared whilst listening to traditional carols from the local children’s choir, with a special appearance from Santa Claus during the Christmas Reception. A Westin elegant dinner for Christmas Eve is set at the resort’s most stylish and popular ocean front restaurant, Ikan, while being soothed by the seductive sounds of the restaurant’s resident Jazz band. For a fun filled family celebration with gifts galore, guests may opt for a Christmas Eve dinner By The Water, entertained by the Westin Magician and Balloonist in a special appearance as well as the resort’s latino band, Fiesta Tropicale.

The theme for Christmas Day dinner is ‘white’ and a sumptuous barbecue buffet will be spread out on the beach, where a scintillating seafood smorgasbord will be served on pristine white linen attended by white clad staff. A special agenda for kids will be created at the Westin Kids Club with lots of fun activities, games, gifts and more.

The Carnival cavalcade continues until the crescendo which will welcome in the New Year. Guests will gather at the New Year’s reception to commence the festivities, before being ushered to a spectacular colourful celebration in the spirit of a Latin Carnival, at the Nusa Indah Hall. When the true fiesta begins, carnival participants will feel that they are being transported to another land, the land of Carnival! A separate program for young carnival participants is set adjacent with organized games and a complete buffet dinner.

After a night of dining and dancing, a Brunch at Ikan Restaurant starts the first day of the New Year. Guest may continue the camaraderie’s forged from New Year’s Eve celebration, by enjoying an array of cold and hot dishes prepared by the Executive Chef of the resort, Markus Krickelberg. Salsa Dance will entertain the crowd to show how to capture the charm of Latin beat.

As the closing stages, Bali Carnival on the beach heats up to celebrate Russian Christmas with a sumptuous buffet, entertained by the pulsating rhythms of the Latino Band and the visiting international DJ until early hours in the morning.
