General manager Manoj Kanwal said, “We’ve set excellent rates for UAE residents to enjoy Christmas and New Year at the resort where our guests can do as little or as much as they want, while our staff takes care of their every need”.

“Unlike many properties around the world at this time of year, we do not set a five-night minimum stay: we want our guests to make the most of the time they have.” he added.

Rates are Dhs 550 per night for double occupancy in a deluxe seaside room overlooking the Persian Gulf. The rate includes buffet breakfast in Tides, the all-day dining restaurant. Single occupancy rates are also available at Dhs 450 per night.

The special rate is subject to 16% service charge, subject to availability and is valid from 23 December 2005 to 25 December, and 29 December to 1 January.

A two-hour drive from the capital, the Danat Resort Jebel Dhanna offers private beaches, gracious hospitality and impeccable service on Abu Dhabi’s west coast. The rooms and suites are spacious and well appointed to comfortably accommodate a couple or family during their stay.

On property, guests need not go far to relax with the Body and Soul Spa, which offers a tempting selection of spa and beauty treatments for men and women. Guests can keep fit at the health club or use the two floodlit tennis courts and two squash courts for a friendly – or competitive – game. Water sports are available along the 800-metre private beach.

For those seeking adventure, the hotel can arrange deep sea fishing excursions, along with desert safaris or a boat trip to the nature reserve on Sir Bani Yas Island to experience the abundant wildlife firsthand.
