Hawaiian Airlines launches Sydney-Honolulu Promotion

Travel News Asia 14 April 2005

Hawaiian Airlines has launcged a package deal including roundtrip flights from Sydney to Honolulu, four nights accommodation and a side trip to a neighbouring Hawaiian island.

The packages are available for travel from this Friday, 15 April, until 17 June, 2005, and enable passengers to fly from Sydney to Honolulu, and also to Kahului, on the island of Maui, or Lihue on the island of Kauai, or either Hilo or Kona on The Big Island of Hawaii from just AUD$879 per person, plus taxes of approximately AUD$150.

The option is available to connect immediately with a neighbour island flight on arrival in Honolulu, or to take the island side trip at any time during the visit.

This offer is only available for bookings until 25 April. Seats are limited at these special prices and some conditions apply.

Scott Cammell, Hawaiian Airlines Sales and Marketing Manager Australia, said passenger numbers between Australia and Hawaii had grown significantly since the airline commenced Sydney – Honolulu services in May, 2004.

“We have reignited Australian interest in Hawaii as a holiday destination, and in doing so have attracted thousands of first time visitors,” said Mr Cammell.

“Now we want to broaden our market to also include repeat visitors to Hawaii, and to do so we are encouraging Australians to visit not only the gateway island of Oahu, but the magnificent neighbour islands of Maui, Kauai and the Big Island, which they might not have seen on earlier visits,” he said.

Hawaiian Airlines operates four weekly Boeing 767-300ER flights between Sydney and Honolulu, departing every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday evening.

The neighbour island destinations featured in this special offer are served with frequent flights by Hawaiian’s Boeing 717 twinjets.
