Six Senses closes Singapore office

Travel News Asia 13 June 2005

Thailand based, Six Senses Hotels & Resorts, recently closed its office in Singapore.

Mr. Raymond Hall, Chief Marketing Officer commented, "It was decided that our relevant regional DOSMs would schedule trips to Singapore rather than have the dedicated office. This is a more cost effective approach, as Singapore does not have a market for all of our properties. For example, two of our properties are in Vietnam (and a third one is currently being developed), and this is not a significant market for Singaporeans."

"We believe that establishing personal relations between our properties/regional DOSM's and the Singapore market could actually be a positive factor in our ongoing relationship." Mr Hall added.
