Hertz Jordan has
appointed Joseph Khoury as Assistant General Manager for Marketing and Business Development.
Khoury, who will report directly to general manager Najati Shakhshir, has more than 20 years of hospitality and travel industry experience in Bahrain, Jordan and Dubai.
With a business administration degree from Slippery Rock State University, Pennsylvania, USA and a post-graduate degree in international marketing, Khoury started
his career with the Amman Marriott Hotel 1982.
In 1994, he was appointed Director of Sales and Marketing for
InterContinental Hotels in Jordan, where, within a short period of time, he doubled corporate bookings and
achieved a number one position for the hotel in the MICE segment.
Khoury has also held senior marketing positions at Holiday Hospitality in Dubai and at the Jordan office of
Accor Hotels. He joins Hertz Jordan from Bahrain’s Gulf Hotel where he spent a couple of years managing a team of twelve as the Director of Sales & Marketing.
“Although this is his first position with a car rental company, Joseph’s thorough knowledge of the travel industry will be valuable to our efforts to grow in all elements of
the business,” said Najati Shakhshir, general manager of Hertz Jordan.
