Radisson Treetops Resort & Spa Port Douglas launches special Three Nights Promotion

The Radisson Treetops Resort & Spa Port Douglas, in North Queensland, Australia, is offering three nights accommodation in a Superior Room and daily buffet breakfast for just A$274.50 per person. This offer is valid from until March 31st 2006, and is subject to availability.

Less than one hour from Cairns International Airport, the Radisson Treetops Resort & Spa Port Douglas is surrounded by its own rainforest and is a short walk to the famous Four Mile Beach. The resort boasts an exclusive day spa, Treetops Life Spa, which encompasses nine treatment rooms nestled in the resorts treehouses, linked by covered walkways. The spa menu features Ahava spa products and offers complete indulgence, including an infra-red sauna and Lithos stone therapy.

The resort, which recently underwent an A$8 million refurbishment, offers guest rooms and suites, all of which have been designed with a fresh tropical Queensland look and have a laidback yet elegant resort feel. The Superior rooms include king size beds, in-room DVDs, Internet access, air-conditioning, tea and coffee making facilities, mini bar, and ironing facilities.

The resort also offers a lagoon style swimming pool with swim-up bar, state-of-the-art gymnasium and nearby 18-hole Sea Temple golf course.

While at the resort, guests can relax in a choice of two restaurants. The Outback Restaurant is at the pools edge, under a canopy of ancient trees and featuring modern a la carte and themed buffets, while the Wharf Restaurant showcases the regions choice produce and fine wines in a romantic setting overlooking the resorts signature water lily ponds.

Guests looking for a cool cocktail can check out the Cockatoo Bar and Lounge to relax, watch sport or enjoy a light snack.

The restaurants at Radisson Treetops Resort & Spa Port Douglas are also offering special fare and fun for Christmas Day lunch. The Wharf Restaurant is offering a four-course meal with seafood and traditional Christmas fare for A$120 per adult. The price includes selected drinks and guests will be entertained by a violinist. The Outback Restaurant has seafood, hot and cold dishes and a traditional Christmas buffet for A$90 per adult, inclusive of selected drinks. Entertainment includes a DJ, roving magician/juggler, streamers and party poppers.

While in Port Douglas, guests can explore the region with an endless choice of activities including day trips to world-heritage-listed Daintree Rainforest, riding the scenic train to Kuranda village, or visiting nearby Mossman Gorge and Cape Tribulation.

The Barrier Reef is also just a short boat ride away to where boat operators have permanently moored pontoons, which provide a comfortable base from which to snorkel or dive. Marvel at the worlds greatest ocean marine park, where guests will see multi-coloured fish, coral, clams and sea creatures. There are numerous tour operators offering day trips to the reef, setting off around 8am and returning around 5pm, which lunch and all gear provided. Tours can be booked through the resort.
