Senior Management Changes at IHG in Europe

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) recently created two new roles in its European structure in an aim to give greater focus on the company’s brands.

Robin Wicks has taken up the role of Chief Operating Officer for the Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn and Express by Holiday Inn brands across Europe. His key responsibilities include operations, franchising and development across continental Europe.

Jennifer Fox will become Chief Operating Officer for the InterContinental hotels in Europe. Her key focus will be operations of IHG’s key InterContinental hotels across continental Europe.

Both Wicks and Fox have extensive hotel experience. Wicks has been with IHG for 12 years in a number of roles in the European, Middle East and African regional head office, including Vice President Worldwide Sales, Vice President Crowne Plaza, Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing and most recently Senior Vice President Franchising.

Fox joined InterContinental in 2001 as General Manager of the InterContinental hotel in Hong Kong. She was then promoted to the global position of Senior Vice President of the InterContinental Brand. Fox has been a General Manager at a number of high profile properties around the world with 20 years experience in marketing and hotel operations, particularly repositioning resort, luxury and business hotels.

Wicks who took up his new position with immediate effect is based in Brussels, while Fox will continue in her current marketing role for the InterContinental brand until a replacement is found.
