Travel News Asia 1 February 2005

Nakheel, a leading real estate developer in the Middle East, has launched sales of ‘The Jewel of the Palm’, exclusive apartments with stunning views located on The Palm, Jumeirah in Dubai. According to the company, The Jewel signifies a new opportunity to own apartments on Dubai's first palm-shaped island.

Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman of Nakheel flagged off the launch by explaining that these exceptional residences sat perfectly with the vision of The Palm translated into reality. "The Jewel of The Palm is slated as an exotic project that will serve as a fitting climax to the extraordinary story of Palm, Jumeirah. Just as the presence of jewels in jewellery add to its grace and beauty, the Jewel complex is set to add grandeur, elegance and prestige to The Palm, Jumeirah. In many ways, it symbolises the height of luxurious living on the island," he stated.

The Jewel project an exclusive gated community, comprises seven high rise buildings which are located on the upper right of The Trunk of The Palm, Jumeirah within close proximity of the Marina Village. Sulayem said that the unique buildings are designed to form a private beachfront community of elegant homes in rich surroundings, located close to such luxurious amenities as the seven star Golden Mile, and the Village Shopping Centre.

Located within the Jewel complex will be The Jasper Club, - a private members only club as well as an exclusive beach with health club and children’s swimming pool. The residential development will also offer an array of amenities, such as a running track along the water’s edge, walkways with ponds, and shaded avenues to relax and enjoy fantastic views. There will also be opportunities for fine dining, leisure and recreation.

"But it is the array of panoramic views that will undoubtedly serve as the focal point of this complex," said Sulayem. "Residents will be able to choose between water or garden views from a choice of duplexes and penthouses, with an exceptional view of Burj Al Arab and the Dubai coastline, not to mention coastal gardens set with lush plants and greenery.

Sulayem confirmed that “the style and sophistication of these modern residences, combined with its location on the irresistible Palm, Jumeirah and the advantages that living in Dubai offers, will undoubtedly attract the attention of many investors from around the region, as well as those from around the world.”
