“Paul’s new role reflects an organizational first for our company,” said Carlson President and Chief Operating Officer Curtis Nelson. “Rather than have responsibility for one area of our business, Paul will lead a matrixed organization representing all of our business units.”

Kirwin also will retain his title of President, Carlson Hotels – Asia Pacific. He will establish a Singapore office that will serve as headquarters for Carlson hotel, marketing and restaurant operations in the region and begin establishing a shared-services model to handle the common human resources, information technology, finance and strategic sourcing processes for Carlson’s regional businesses.
