HPL Hotels & Resorts appoints Adrian Tan as Revenue Manager

HPL Hotels & Resorts, a Singapore-based hospitality management company, has appointed Adrian Tan as Revenue Manager.

As Revenue Manager, Adrian will design and oversee the revenue strategy of all properties managed by HPL Hotels & Resorts, providing direction and training to property level revenue management teams to maximise revenue per available room through the management of room inventories, market mixes, pricing strategies and management of reservation and GDS systems. He will also introduce, develop, train and support the concept and operations of revenue management both at a unit and regional level, to maximise overall hotel revenues.

A graduate from National University of Singapore with Bachelor of Business Administration majoring in Finance, Adrian started his career as an Operations Manager with an Internet commerce company. He was responsible for setting up offices in Malaysia, Hong Kong and Australia – incorporation of company, recruitment of key management team, business development and budget preparation.

Following which, Adrian joined Singapore Airlines as a Route Analyst in Global Marketing, responsible for developing and maintaining a credible and up-to-date market information base, as well as providing a global overview on key aspects of global network revenue maximisation and market development for global offices. After one and half years, Adrian assumed the new role of Market Analyst, in charge of the American, West Asian and African markets. His job functions involved working with overseas stations to enhance sales performances and develop distribution channels, identify customers’ needs, usage patterns, high growth areas or trends, as well as develop and conduct various market surveys and analyse customer information.
