Japan Civil Aviation Bureau acquires Preston Airport Simulation Software

Travel News Asia 11 April 2005

Through its distributor in Japan, CRC Solutions Corp., Preston Aviation Solutions is to supply its Total Airspace and Airport Modeler (TAAM) software to the Japan Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB).

TAAM, a leading airspace and airport simulation system, will become an integral part of JCAB's planning environment. It will enable the bureau to conduct unlimited "what-if" analysis of Japan 's airport operations and en-route airspace environment.

The simulation system will be installed at the Fukuoka Air Traffic Flow Management facility and is expected to be complete this month.

"Not only will TAAM allow us to evaluate a broader range of scenarios, but its fast-time capabilities will deliver quicker results, as well as cost efficiencies." said Mr. Takahide Zenigame, Special Assistant to the Director Air Traffic Control Division, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.

TAAM is recognized as a standard in the aviation industry and is widely used by leading airports, major air carriers, civil aviation authorities, airspace planners and air navigation service providers as well as aviation research establishments, system integrators and universities around the globe.

"We are pleased to welcome the Japan Civil Aviation Bureau to our global group of TAAM users." said Ian Ash, General Manager of Preston Aviation Solutions.
