Hertz Australia has introduced a new customer loyalty programme for small business, enabling customers to earn one free rental day for every 15 paid rental days.

Currently, the Hertz Corporate Plus programme for small to medium-sized enterprises offers benefits including special rental rates worldwide, discounts, upgrade certificates and other offers, free membership of Hertz #1 Club Gold, a toll-free priority reservations number and a dedicated team to manage their car rental needs.

The new Corporate Plus Rewards scheme goes one step further, awarding one rental credit for every day a Corporate Plus member rents from Hertz, and a “free day” certificate once 15 credits are earned.

“Small to medium-sized enterprises collectively represent one of the largest and most important segments of the business travel market,” said Wayne Burgoyne, Director of Sales and Marketing for Hertz Australia.

“These customers spend up to A$25,000 per year on car rentals. They are also very cost-conscious, and are recognised through our Corporate Plus programme, with a range of special offers and discounts designed to maximise convenience and minimise expense,” added Mr Burgoyne.

On joining the Corporate Plus programme, renters receive a Customer Discount Programme (CDP) number, which, once activated, entitles them to all benefits, including credits towards free days.

Customers simply need to activate their CDP number by calling the Hertz Reservations on 1800 082 167, and Hertz will take care of the rest, processing all rental credits and advising in a quarterly statement how many “free day” certificates have been earned.
