Kenya, ranked eighth in the world, shocked defending champion and Series leader Fiji 30-7 to win the 2016 HSBC World Rugby Singapore Sevens. The Kenyans raced to a 20-0 lead at half-time before Fiji’s Jerry Tu scored a converted try to bring the score to 7-20. However tries from substitute Nelson Oyoo and Frank Wanyama ensured Kenya their first ever World Rugby Series Cup victory.

Outrigger has joined Global Hotel Alliance (GHA). With Outrigger as a member, GHA expands its footprint to new markets, including Outrigger’s home base of Hawaii, plus Fiji, Guam and Mauritius, while strengthening its presence in Maldives and Thailand, adding a total of nine resorts to GHA’s network of 33 independent brands and over 550 hotels.

Mantra Group is preparing to open its first prefabricated Peppers Hotel, the Peppers Kings Square in Perth, Australia. Scheduled for completion in around six months, the prefabricated hotel by Hickory Building Systems patented construction technology utilises elements including modular bathrooms, pre-attached facades and precast concrete panels.
141. Alitalia to Launch Rome - Beijing Flights
On 18 July 2016, Alitalia will launch direct flights between Rome and Beijing. The new Beijing service represents Alitalia’s third new intercontinental route of 2016, following Santiago de Chile (starting 1 May) and Mexico City (starting 16 June).
142. Korean Air to Launch Flights to St. Petersburg and Irkutsk
Korean Air will resume flights between Incheon and Russia’s second largest city, St. Petersburg. Commencing on 21 April 2016, the airline will operate three flights a week, utilizing Airbus A330 aircraft equipped with AVOD in all seats and accommodating up to 218 passengers.
143. Avianca Signs Codeshare Agreement with Etihad Airways
Avianca, one of Latin America’s leading airlines, and Abu-Dhabi-based Etihad Airways have signed a codeshare agreement. Etihad Airways will place its ‘EY’ code on Avianca operated flights between Bogota and London Heathrow and Madrid Barajas, while Avianca will place its ‘AV’ code on Etihad Airways flights between Abu Dhabi and London and Madrid.
