Spirit Airlines has finalised its firm order for 75 Airbus single-aisles including 45 A320neo aircraft (new engine option). The airline has yet to unveil its engine selection. Spirit's order for 45 A320 neo aircraft was booked in December 2011. The firming up of the additional 30 A320s in January brings the total new firm order to 75.

One of Australia’s travel agency groups, Flight Centre, has urged travellers to beat Qantas’s impending airfare price rises by locking in cheaper deals now. Flight Centre managing director Graham Turner said a family of four taking off to the United Kingdom or Europe could theoretically save more than A$500 by booking and paying for Qantas flights before 15 February 2012.
