161. Germany’s WDL Aviation Signs Pool Program Contract with Embraer
Embraer and WDL Aviation, a German charter and ACMI airline headquartered at Cologne Bonn Airport and part of the Zeitfracht logistics group, have signed an agreement on a Flight Hour Pool Program to support the airline’s recently leased fleet of four used E190s.

Qantas has signed a distribution agreement with Amadeus that includes a new private channel which will come into effect on 1 August 2019. The agreement ensures that Amadeus travel sellers that sign up to the Qantas Channel can continue to access the airline’s wide range of fares and products available for agents – including future NDC content.

Marriott has signed the first Moxy Hotel in Australia. Scheduled to open in July 2021, the 180-room, new-build Moxy Melbourne South Yarra hotel is being developed by Melbourne businessmen Hector Ktori and Peter Arvanitis, and designed by architectural firm Rothelowman.

Destinations across Asia Pacific in aggregate welcomed 570 million foreign arrivals in 2015, setting a new record for international arrivals into the region. Aggregate annual growth was 4.1%, with 8 of the 11 Asia Pacific sub-regions producing annual growth rates above that of the Asia Pacific average, ranging as high as 8.7% for Oceania and 8% for Southeast Asia.

InterContinental Hotels Group has signed a franchise agreement with CL Capital to debut voco, IHG’s new upscale brand, in Solihull, England. The hotel will be managed by Kew Green Hotels (KGH) and will be the second voco property in the UK, following the opening of voco St. David’s in Cardiff, Wales.
168. SilkAir Selects Thompson Aero for Flat-Bed Business Class Seats
Singapore Airlines’ regional wing, SilkAir, has selected Thompson Aero seating for the upgrade of Business Class seats on its Boeing 737 MAX 8 fleet. The upgrades are a part of a significant investment programme that will eventually see SilkAir merged into SIA.
