177. dusitD2 Nairobi to Reopen in June 2019
Dusit has announced that it is aiming to reopen the dusitD2 Nairobi hotel in June 2019. The hotel was closed on 15 January 2019 following an attack by Somali militants which claimed the lives of 21 innocent people. In addition to the hotel, the 14 Riverside complex in Nairobi’s exclusive Westlands neighbourhood houses restaurants, shops, and offices.

Qantas has signed a distribution agreement with Amadeus that includes a new private channel which will come into effect on 1 August 2019. Korean Air to Host AAPA Assembly of Presidents in Jeju on 18-19 October 2018 Korean Air will host the 62nd Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA) Assembly of Presidents in Jeju, Korea on 18-19 October 2018. CEOs of 15 AAPA member airlines will gather in Jeju for the first time in 15 years, since Korean Air hosted the 2003 Assembly of Presidents on the island.
183. IHG Opens Second voco Hotel in UK
InterContinental Hotels Group has signed a franchise agreement with CL Capital to debut voco, IHG’s new upscale brand, in Solihull, England. The hotel will be managed by Kew Green Hotels (KGH) and will be the second voco property in the UK, following the opening of voco St. David’s in Cardiff, Wales.
184. SilkAir Selects Thompson Aero for Flat-Bed Business Class Seats
Singapore Airlines’ regional wing, SilkAir, has selected Thompson Aero seating for the upgrade of Business Class seats on its Boeing 737 MAX 8 fleet. The upgrades are a part of a significant investment programme that will eventually see SilkAir merged into SIA.
