The percentage of international visitors who said they felt extremely welcome in Britain has more than doubled in the last five years according to a new report by national tourism agency VisitBritain. The report, based on a survey of more than 5,000 visitors as they departed Great Britain, found that 42% said they felt extremely welcome, compared to 30% in 2012 and 19% in 2009.

Finnair has received approval from the Finnish Transport Safety Agency to change rules on the use of portable electronic devices during take-offs and landings. Now customers on Finnair flights can officially use handheld devices throughout all phases of flight, as long as the devices – such as smartphones, tablets and e-readers – are kept in flight mode.

The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has certified the ATR 72-600 aircraft for the use of new PW127N engines. Following in the PW127M's flight path with over 10 million hours of operation, the PW127N provides a 4.5% power increase for Maximum Take-Off ratings (MTO), thus enhancing performance in hot and high operating conditions.
