134. Smiths Detection Wins Ashgabat Airport Security Contract
Smiths Detection has won a contract from Polimeks Construction to supply a comprehensive range of advanced detection equipment for the new Ashgabat International Airport in Turkmenistan. Smiths Detection will supply advanced X-ray systems for hand baggage screening at security checkpoints, as well as millimeter-wave scanners for people screening and trace detection systems.

American Airlines has taken delivery of the first A321 aircraft made at the Airbus manufacturing facility in Mobile, Alabama.
