219. Marriott to Triple Portfolio of Hotels in Philippines
Marriott has unveiled plans to more than triple its portfolio of hotels in Philippines in the next five years, and debut five new brands including The Ritz-Carlton, Element and Westin. With four hotels currently open in Philippines, Marriott expects to open 14 more properties by the end of 2024, which would add more than 3,700 new rooms to the market.
220. Cebu Pacific Strengthens Domestic Routes for Summer
Cebu Pacific has increased flight frequencies from Manila, Cebu, Iloilo, and Davao to key domestic and international destinations, to accommodate passenger demand during the summer peak travel period. Beginning 1 April 2016, the airline will mount an additional daily flight from Manila to the popular vacation spot of Bohol (Tagbilaran), for a total of 28 weekly flights.

Cebu Pacific will begin direct services from Cebu to Bangkok (Thailand) and Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) in the first week of December this year. Starting 8 December 2012, CEB will launch twice weekly flights from Cebu to Bangkok, Thailand, and then on 9 December 2012, CEB will launch twice weekly flights from Cebu to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
222. Cebu Pacific to Launch Cebu - Tokyo Flights
Cebu Pacific has unveiled plans to launch direct flights between Cebu and Tokyo (Narita) in Japan. The airline will launch four weekly flights (every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday) on 26 March 2015, with the flight from Cebu departing at 05:55 to arrive in Tokyo at 11:20. The return flight will depart Tokyo at 12:05, and arrive in Cebu at 16:25.
