According to the April 2015 STR Global Construction Pipeline Report, there are 857 hotels totalling 138,152 rooms Under Contract in Europe. This represents a 6.4% decrease in rooms Under Contract compared with April 2014 and a 3.6% year-on-year decrease in rooms under construction. The region reported 58,372 rooms in 360 hotels under construction for the month.

All Nippon Airways (ANA) has announced that in July 2018 it will bring a Boeing 737-500 out of retirement. The non-operating yet fully functional jet, will be used as a dedicated maintenance training jet to help assure its maintenance technicians have the best tools for training and to ensure the highest level of quality maintenance.

Air New Zealand has announced that it will operate five additional return Airbus A320 services between Dunedin and Auckland per week from 29 October 2018. The new flights add around 70,000 seats annually to the route and increase seat capacity by close to 25%.

Thailand-based Minor Hotels Group has signed an Anantara resort in Zanzibar. According to data from ACI Asia Pacific, the traffic surge during Lunar New Year continued to have a positive impact on the airports within the region in March 2015, reporting a +11.1% year-on-year rise, and a +8.5% growth for the first quarter. Airports in the Middle East also recorded strong rise of +10.0% in March, and +9.4% for the first quarter.
