10. Alaska Airlines to Reduce Commissions
Alaska Airlines is reducing the base commissions paid on tickets for point of sale in Australia from 3% to 1%, effective 1 January 2013. All bookings sold and ticketed on or after 1 January 2013 will be affected by the commission change. Any existing bookings must be issued prior to this date to claim existing commission.

Korean Air has launched what it is calling the Excellent Boarding Pass program. The Excellent Boarding Pass program aims to provide discounts and additional benefits in tourist sites, theatres, restaurants, shopping malls, banks and transportation to passengers holding their Korean Air boarding passes.

FCm Travel Solutions has broadened its corporate travel network in Africa after signing a new partner agreement with a leading travel agency in Angola. FCm has welcomed to its African network, the Alive brand, which is an affiliate of OnTourism Capital Investments. Alive has a presence in Angola, Portugal, Spain and Brazil.

The Abidos Hotel Apartments in Dubailand became the latest hospitality brand to start operations in Dubai. The tower has been built by Al Shafar General Contracting (ASGC) and has a total built up area of 27,501 square meters.
