Mandarin Oriental has signed a deal to manage a new resort and branded residences in Muscat, the capital of Oman. Scheduled to open in 2021, Mandarin Oriental, Muscat will feature 150 guestrooms and suites, five restaurants and bars, a spa and an outdoor swimming pool. A variety of banqueting and meeting spaces will accommodate social and business events.

United Airlines has unveiled plans to increase flights between Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport and Havana's José Martí International Airport beginning 20 July 2018. Subject to government approval, United will operate the new daily service with either Boeing 737-800 mainline aircraft or Embraer E175 regional aircraft operated by Mesa Airlines as United Express.
