The Federal Aviation Administration has expanded the restricted air space over NASA’s Stennis Space Center in Hancock County, Mississippi. The expanded restricted air space bolsters Mississippi’s efforts to recruit more industry leaders to Stennis Space Center and the Gulf Coast region.

Jin Air, a Korean low-cost carrier, has signed an interline agreement with Jetstar Group comprising Jetstar Airways, Jetstar Asia, Jetstar Japan and Jetstar Pacific. Both Jin Air and Jetstar Group will begin preparation works such as conducting system interlocks, with the interline service expected to launch in the third-quarter of this year.
221. Hong Kong Airlines to Launch Flights to Tokyo Narita
Commencing on 1 July 2016, Hong Kong Airlines will launch a twice daily service between Hong Kong and Narita Airport in Tokyo, Japan. Hong Kong Airlines will operate the route with Airbus A330 aircraft. Tokyo will be Hong Kong Airlines’ seventh destination in Japan.
222. Emirates Orders More Airbus A380s
Emirates has placed an order with Airbus for an additional two new A380 aircraft, to be delivered in the 4th quarter of 2017. Emirates already operates the world’s largest fleet of Airbus A380s, with 75 in service and a further 65 on firm order. The additional two aircraft, to be powered by Rolls Royce Trent 900 engines will take Emirates’ total A380 order book to 142.
223. Solomon Islands Reports 7.8% Growth in International Visitor Arrivals
Figures released this week show international visitation to the Solomon Islands, for the period January – December 2015, increased from 20,061 in 2014 to 21,623 – a growth of 7.8%. Australian visitor arrivals again led the way, the 9509 total recorded for the 12 month period representing a 4.10% increase over 2014 and accounting for 43.9% of the 2015 total.
