AirAsia is increasing flights between Don Muang and Kuala Lumpur to 10 times daily. The extra flight, FD 2917, will depart from Don Muang at 12:50, while FD 2918 will depart from Kuala Lumpur at 16:25 starting 16 August 2013. According to the latest ACI Passenger and Freight Flash Reports, passenger traffic in the Asia Pacific region continued its upward trend in April 2013. A year-on-year increase of +4.6% and +10.2% were recorded at airports in Asia Pacific and the Middle East respectively when compared to April 2012.

79. Singapore Airlines Selects Rolls-Royce Engines to Power Boeing 787-10Xs
Singapore Airlines has selected the Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engine to power 30 Boeing 787-10Xs for delivery from the 2018/19 financial year. The engine selection follows an agreement with Boeing on 30 May 2013 for the purchase of 30 B787-10Xs, which are intended for use on medium-haul routes. The order is conditional upon Boeing formally launching the B787-10X programme.
80. IHG Signs Holiday Inn Express in Nicaragua and Honduras
InterContinental Hotels Group has signed two new Holiday Inn Express hotels, one in Managua, Nicaragua and the other in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. Both properties are slated to open in 2014. Managed by Latin American Hospitality Management S.A., a subsidiary of Grupo AGRISAL, the hotels will be franchised by an affiliate of IHG.
