Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) handled 5.7 million passengers and 33,210 flight movements in January 2020, decreases of 11.7% and 9.1% year-on-year, respectively. Cargo throughput dropped 10.4% to 359,000 tonnes when compared to January 2019.

Qatar Airways will be the launch customer for Boeing's new Electronic Flight Folder (EFF).The carrier will install the EFF on their entire fleet of Boeing 777s, making it the first in the world to transmit day-of-flight data such as flight plans and weather information directly to the 777 Class 3 Electronic Flight Bag (EFB).
