33. Korean Air to Increase Hong Kong Flights
Korean Air has unveiled plans to increase flights to Hong Kong. Starting from 28 Oct 2018, the airline will operate an additional daily direct flight to Incheon, increasing the number of daily flights between the two vibrant cities from four to five.

Travelodge has signed its third hotel in Thailand, and its first in Phuket. The Travelodge Phuket Town, scheduled to open in 2020, will feature 159 rooms, an all-day dining restaurant, a gymnasium and a large swimming pool.
37. TUMI Opens First Duty Free Pop-Up Store in Middle East
TUMI has opened its first duty free pop-up store in the Middle East. The pop-up store at Hamad International Airport (HIA) in Qatar, includes a TUMI embossing machine so that passengers can have their TUMI purchases personalised. Passengers will be able to emboss their initials free of charge on any TUMI product they buy.
38. Virgin Australia Removes Plastic Straws and Stirrers from Aircraft and Lounge Operations
Virgin Australia has removed all plastic straws and stirrers from its aircraft and lounge operations. The move will see more than 260,000 plastic straws and 7.5 million plastic stirrers a year removed from operations and replaced with paper straws and bamboo stirrers.
39. ATR Appoints Stefano Bortoli as CEO
ATR has appointed Stefano Bortoli, currently President of the ATR Board and Senior Vice President Strategy, Marketing Development and Sales of Leonardo Aircraft Division, as CEO with immediate effect. This follows the announcement last week by Airbus appointing Christian Scherer as its Chief Commercial Officer.
40. ACL Appoints Edmond Rose as CEO
Airport Coordination Ltd (ACL) has appointed Edmond Rose as CEO, effective immediately. Edmond, a former Board member of ACL, brings 20 years’ of aviation industry experience to the role, including expertise in airline regulatory affairs for Virgin Atlantic and British Airways.
