China Aircraft Leasing Company (CALC), an independent aircraft operating lessor in China, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Airbus for 100 A320 Family aircraft. The commitment comprises 74 A320neo, 16 A320ceo and 10 A321ceo. Including this new commitment, CALC’s total order tally with Airbus stands at 140 A320 Family aircraft.
334. Airbus Rolls Out First A321neo ACF
Airbus has completed assembly of the first A321neo ACF (Airbus Cabin Flex) at its facilities in Hamburg, Germany. The aircraft, powered by CFM LEAP-1A engines, will undergo ground tests prior to its scheduled first flight in the coming weeks. First delivery of an A321neo ACF to a customer is scheduled for mid-2018.
335. Airbus to Cut Aircraft Production by a Third
Airbus has revised its production rates downwards as it tries to adapt to the current market environment. In Q1 2020, Airbus booked 290 net commercial aircraft orders and delivered 122 aircraft.
