Delta Air Lines has ordered 10 additional Airbus A330-900 aircraft, expanding its A330neo order book from 25 to 35 aircraft. Delta and Airbus have also agreed to defer 10 previously ordered A350 XWBs to 2025-26. Delta currently operates 11 A350-900 aircraft and expects a further four in 2019-2020. Deltas A330 fleet stands today at 42 aircraft.

Avianca has signed a firm order for four Airbus A330-200 Freighter aircraft. The new aircraft will be operated by Aviancas cargo subsidiary, Tampa. The engine choice is expected to be revealed at a later date. Thee A330-200 Freighter will replace Tampas current cargo fleet and play a key role in expanding Aviancas international cargo business.
48. Delta Takes Delivery of First 242-Tonne Airbus A330-300
The first 242-tonne Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) variant of the A330-300 was this week delivered to Delta Air Lines. The Atlanta, Georgia (U.S.) based airline is the first to receive the aircraft type from among 11 worldwide customers for the option. Delta has selected GE CF6-80E1 engines to power its new A330-300.
