Delta Air Lines has ordered 10 additional Airbus A330-900 aircraft, expanding its A330neo order book from 25 to 35 aircraft. Delta and Airbus have also agreed to defer 10 previously ordered A350 XWBs to 2025-26. Delta currently operates 11 A350-900 aircraft and expects a further four in 2019-2020. Delta’s A330 fleet stands today at 42 aircraft.

Avianca has signed a firm order for four Airbus A330-200 Freighter aircraft. The new aircraft will be operated by Avianca’s cargo subsidiary, Tampa. The engine choice is expected to be revealed at a later date. Thee A330-200 Freighter will replace Tampa’s current cargo fleet and play a key role in expanding Avianca’s international cargo business.
48. Delta Takes Delivery of First 242-Tonne Airbus A330-300
The first 242-tonne Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) variant of the A330-300 was this week delivered to Delta Air Lines. The Atlanta, Georgia (U.S.) – based airline is the first to receive the aircraft type from among 11 worldwide customers for the option. Delta has selected GE CF6-80E1 engines to power its new A330-300.
