57. KLM to Offer Regular Monthly Discounts
Starting 1 June 2012, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines will offer discounts to a number of faraway destinations. The special offers will be available for five days starting the first Friday of each month. Each one is linked to a specific type of holiday such as trips to holiday in the sun, or travel to other continents such as Asia.

Etihad Airways is to operate four additional services to Cairo, giving the airline a total of 18 flights to the city each week from June 2012. Scoots growth since its maiden flight in June 2012 has been rapid from a business plan to an operating airline in less than a year, the company now operates five Boeing 777-200 aircraft, with 20 Boeing 787s on order.
61. Alaska Airlines to Launch New Flights from Seattle
Alaska Airlines is to launch daily nonstop services between Seattle and Philadelphia from 11 June 2012, and Seattle and Fort Lauderdale, Florida, from 16 July 2012. The Philadelphia services will depart Seattle at 8.35am and 5.55pm daily, arriving in Philadelphia at 4.55pm and 9.10pm. Flights to Fort Lauderdale will depart Seattle at 8.10am and 10.10pm daily, and arrive in Fort Lau
62. Lufthansa to Launch Flights Between Dsseldorf and Tokyo
Lufthansa will soon start offering long-haul flights to Asia from Dsseldorf. From 1 June 2012, Lufthansa will be offering its passengers the first non-stop flight from North Rhine-Westphalia to the Japanese capital of Tokyo. The new route will operate six times per week with an Airbus A340-300.
63. Hawaiian Airlines to Launch Daily Flights to New York
Hawaiis flag carrier, Hawaiian Airlines, will be launching daily nonstop flights between Honolulu and New York citys John F. Kennedy International Airport, starting 4 June 2012. Flight HA 50 (Hawaiian 5-0) - will depart Honolulu daily at 15:05 and arrive in New York City at 06:55 the following morning.
64. Emirates to Increase Glasgow Flights
Emirates is preparing to launch a second daily non-stop flight to Glasgow, from 1 June 2012. The additional flight, coupled with an aircraft upgrade on the existing service, will increase Emirates capacity to Glasgow by 47%, an extra 199 seats each way per day. It will also provide an additional 13 tonnes of daily cargo capacity.
