73. GECAS Orders 15 ATR 72-600
GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing arm of General Electric, has ordered 15 ATR 72-600s, plus 15 options. The deal is valued at approximately US$680 million at list prices, including options. This is a first-time ATR order for GECAS.

75. Boeing Signs Orders and Commitments for 17 747-8s
Boeing has said it has received orders and commitments for 17 747-8 Intercontinentals. Placed by two, as yet, undisclosed customers, the combined deals are valued at $5.4 billion at list prices. One carrier has committed to 15 of the new passenger version of the 747-8 while another carrier placed an order for two.

Qatar Airways has ordered six Boeing 777 aircraft valued at US$1.7 billion at list prices. The agreement was signed by Qatar Airways Chief Executive Officer Akbar Al Baker and Boeing Commercial President and Chief Executive Officer Jim Albaugh.
77. Etihad Airways Supports Pakistan Special Olympics Team
Over 7,500 Special Olympics athletes hailing from 185 nations will compete in 22 Olympic sporting events from June 25 - July 9 at this year’s games. Comprising more than 89 members from across Pakistan, the Pakistan Special Olympics team will be travelling from Lahore and Islamabad to Greece with Etihad Airways.
78. ALC Signs MOU for 50 Airbus A320neo Family Aircraft
Air Lease Corporation (ALC), the Los Angeles-based aircraft leasing company signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the 49th Le Bourget Airshow for 50 A320neo Family aircraft including 14 options. ALC also announced orders for the acquisition of eleven A330 Family aircraft and one A321.
79. HKIA Reports May 2011 Traffic
Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA)'s passenger throughput and flight movements continued to grow steadily in May 2011, posting respective year-on-year increases of 5.6% and 9.8%, to 4.3 million and 27,845. Cargo volume recorded 330,000 tonnes during the month, representing a decrease of 9.9% from the corresponding period last year.
80. Singapore Changi Airport Reports May 2011 Traffic
Singapore Changi Airport handled 3.77 million passenger movements in May 2011, an 11.3% increase compared to May 2010. Aircraft movements during the month totalled 24,994, a 12.8% increase year-on-year, and an all time monthly record for Changi Airport.
