12. IATA Reports Global Passenger Traffic for November 2013
IATAs global passenger traffic results for November 2013 show a moderation in the pace of recent demand growth. Total revenue passenger kilometers (RPKs) rose 4.1% compared to November 2012, slower than the 6.5% year-over-year growth recorded in October. In November capacity expanded by 6.1% which out-paced demand growth. This led to a 1.4 percentage point slip in the load factor
13. Hawaiian Airlines Accelerates Upgrade to Larger Aircraft on Seattle Route
Hawaiian Airlines has accelerated its plans to increase seat capacity for service between Hawaii and Seattle by two weeks. The switch to the 294-seat Airbus 330-200 aircraft with its 30 more seats per flight will now occur on 26 November for Hawaiian Airlines' Honolulu-Seattle service and 2 December 2013 for its Maui-Seattle service.
14. Singapore Airlines and SilkAir Increase Baggage Allowance
Passengers on all SilkAir and Singapore Airlines flights will enjoy more free checked-in baggage allowance from 15 November 2013. Checked-in baggage allowances will increase by 10kg for Business and Economy class travel. Customers will be entitled to free baggage allowances of 40kg in Business Class and 30kg in Economy class, respectively.
