Europe
offers travellers a whole world of delights, history, amazing cuisine
and the opportunity for a truly unforgettable holiday.
Many
people travelling to Europe, especially those coming from thousands of
miles away, tend to cram in as much as they can, in a short space of
time. They often try and cover France, England, Italy and even other
countries in a matter of days. While of course it is always nice to be
able to tell your friends and colleagues you have been to X, Y, and Z
countries, with pictures to prove it, we do not recommend it.
It
would take travellers years to discover all the marvels that France
alone has to offer, so our recommendation is take your time, Europe is
not going anywhere and you can always return. We suggest that if you are
travelling a long way to discover Europe's delights choose just one
country and explore a few major cities within that one country rather
than try and do a few different countries on one short trip. Doing this
will give you a much more rewarding and a lot more relaxing holiday, and
if you are still worried about what you can tell your friends at least
you will know a lot more about that one country than they might!
Europe
is quite simply enormous, it presently covers some 44 countries,
has a total population of around 570,000,000 and makes up about 9%
of the world's population. Countries in Europe include, Albania, Andorra,
Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus,
Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary,
Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg,
Macedonia, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal,
Romania, Russia, San Marino, Serbia and Montenegro, Slovakia (Slovak Republic),
Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, United Kingdom and the Vatican City.
You
probably won't want to visit many of those countries even though each
one offers its own marvels so we in this section of ASIA Travel Tips.com
aim to provide you with information on some of the major tourist
destinations in Europe, starting with France. We will gradually be building
this section to include other countries in Europe but as France is the
most visited country in the world we will start with this one tourism
