20. SITA Foundation to Provide Technology and Educational Programs
The SITA Air Transport Community Foundation, initiated by the 34-member SITA Council, is to work with charities to deliver educational programs and technology to communities in need. The Foundation’s initial focus will be in Africa where it will provide computer labs at schools in Ethiopia and Uganda, and educational grants at a university in South Africa.
21. Qantas to Launch Sydney - Merimbula Flights
Qantas has announced that it will launch flights from Sydney to Merimbula for the first time. From 18 December 2020, the airline will operate four direct flights per week with 50-seat Q300 turboprop aircraft, adding more than 400 seats on the route each week.

Air Canada has completed sale and leaseback transactions for three Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft with Jackson Square Aviation and six Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft with Avolon Aerospace Leasing Limited for total proceeds of US$365 million (C$485 million) and long-term lease commitments of US$345 million (C$458 million).
